Procedure
- Fill a jar about one third with dried petals and cover with honey (runny honey penetrates more easily).
- Close and macerate 3–4 weeks away from direct sunlight, shaking occasionally.
- Strain through cloth; prepare rosehips separately — flowers and hips are not interchangeable.

Why it works
Maceration in honey releases aromatics and part of the polar compounds gradually; the concentration is variable and does not match standardised extracts.
