Procedure

  1. Fill a jar about one quarter with dried crushed root and cover with 40–50 % ethanol.
  2. Label with date, macerate 4–6 weeks in the dark, shake briefly daily, then strain.
  3. Start with drops according to reliable references — a strong smell is normal.
