  2. Set a timer for three minutes — no longer, no shorter; switch the phone to ring or airplane mode.
  3. Watch one moving thing: leaf, cloud, bird; when the mind wanders, gently bring it back to sight.
  4. At the end, one slow exhale and continue the day without judging how well it went.
