Procedure

  1. Simmer 3–4 tsp dried leaf in 500 ml water under a lid for about 15 minutes, then strain.
  2. Stir honey or dissolve sugar (for example 300–400 g) into the warm liquid with gentle heat.
  3. Bottle and store refrigerated — a more mucilaginous texture is normal for mallow.
