Procedure

  1. Steep 2 tsp dried leaf in 350 ml boiling water under a lid for about 8 minutes, then strain.
  2. Stir in honey or sugar and warm briefly.
  3. Store refrigerated; dilute more if you have reflux.

Why it works

Same principle as other leaf syrups: hot-water extraction followed by sugar or honey preservation. Menthol and other volatiles partly escape with steam — shorter steeping often keeps a fresher profile than long boiling.
